2022 Zurich Marathon (VTL destination)

The Zurich Marathon will take place in the city of Zurich in Switzerland on 10 April 2022. The Sunday event is currently open for registration.
It is popular both with professional and amateur runners from all over the world and provides a unique running experience in and around Zurich. Enjoy a run through the attractive city downtown and along most parts of the beautiful Lake Zurich. 70% of all runners beat their best time in Zurich.
There are 3 categories of runs: Full Marathon 42.195 KM, Half Marathon 21.1 KM and City Run 10 KM. The half marathon will start at 8.00 AM in the cool morning of Spring season, followed by the full marathon at 8.15 AM. City Run will start in the afternoon at 2.00 PM with temperature averages 15 oC.
The registration fees are from CHF 129 (full marathon), CHF 89 (half marathon) and CHF 69 (city run).
Entry Requirement into Switzerland
Permitted foreign nationals including Singaporeans,
~ do not have to fill out an entry form for entry to Switzerland;
~ do not have to present a negative test result to enter Switzerland;
~ no quarantine requirement for people entering Switzerland.
For everyone entering Switzerland, the nationals from the list of countries with a virus of concern must observe further health-related measures at the border on arrival.

How to get to Zurich
To travel under Singapore’s Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL), Singapore Airlines and Swissair operate VTL flights via Zurich daily.
Singapore – Zurich 0130 – 0750 hours SQ 346
Zurich – Singapore 1035 – 0600+1 hours SQ 345 (VTL)
Singapore – Zurich 0155 – 0830 hours LX 177
Zurich – Singapore 1200 – 0645+1 hours LX 176 (VTL)
note: LX 176 on Tuesday departures are non-VTL flight.
Returning travellers to Singapore via VTL flights
~ must be fully vaccinated;
~ require to provide a negative result from a professionally administered Covid-19 PCR or ART test taken within 2 days prior to departure to Singapore;
~ upon arrival into Singapore, take a supervised self-swab ART at any test centre located across Singapore within 24 hours of arrival. A testing notice with a weblink to book tests will be issued to travellers upon their entry into Singapore.

The marathon will be taking place in the heart of the city with the start/finish line within Lake Zurich vicinity. Take a walk or take the public transport to the start/from the finish line is easily achievable. Here are some of our recommendation.
