When the news on Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) was announced on 19 Aug 2021, it did generate a buzz among Singaporeans and the Permanent Residents of Singapore. The first 2 countries that is part of this inaugural VTL are Germany and Brunei. This is part of Singapore Government’s efforts to reopen our borders safely.
Before we show you what we have to offer for Germany, here’s what you need to know about the newly minted VTL in a nutshell, with effect from 08 Sep 2021 at 0001 hours (Singapore time).
Arriving into Germany (not limited to),
~ Singaporeans who are fully vaccinated are allowed unrestricted entry into Germany for any purpose (including visits and tourism).
~ The Singaporean traveller must receive the last vaccination dose that is necessary for full vaccination at least 14 days before the date of travel.
~ Proof of complete vaccination protection must be available in embodied or digital form in German, English, French, Italian or Spanish.
~ Singaporeans and Permanent Residents of Singapore who are fully vaccinated can return to Singapore without the need for entry approval provided they adhere to the VTL requirements.
~ Travellers must have been fully vaccinated in their country/region of departure or Singapore. An individual is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after he or she has received the full regimen of Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty, Moderna or WHO EUL Vaccines.~ Stay in Germany at least 21 days before your flight departure to Singapore.
~ travel on non-stop designated VTL flights only.
~ a valid proof of vaccination status.
~ a 3rd and 4th PCR tests are needed on Day 3 and Day 7 of arrival in Singapore, taken at one of the designated clinics.
~ Arrival travellers are required to be isolated in a pre-declared residential or non-residential accommodation (conditions apply) until they receive a negative on-arrival COVID-19 PCR test result.
> the types of accommodation for self-isolation are:
> residential accommodation (i.e. HDB flat, condominium or landed property); or
> non-residential accommodation (i.e. hotel or serviced apartment).
